CENTER TWP – A Butler man is accused of shooting three people in the area of the Rural King parking lot at the Clearview Mall following an altercation Tuesday night, state police said.

Carlos Gonzalez Carril, 24, is accused of shooting Damian Blystone, 19, Ryan Ehrman, 21, and another person who was identified as a “known juvenile male.” All three victims are from Butler, according to the early Wednesday morning news release from state police.

“Through the investigation, it was discovered that the actor had fired numerous rounds at the victims during an altercation in the parking lot of Rural King,” the release said.

The release described the shooting as a “criminal attempt homicide.”

One suspect is in custody, according to the Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger.

Three people were taken to hospitals with apparent non- life threatening injuries, Goldinger said.

A medical helicopter landed in the parking lot and reportedly transported one person to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, according to scanner reports from the county emergency dispatch center.

Another person was observed being taken by ambulance for medical treatment.

Police and emergency responders were dispatched for a report of someone with a gunshot wound to the head and side a little before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the dispatch center.

The public is not in danger in relation to this incident, state police said.

Unionville Volunteer Fire Company and Butler Ambulance Service were among those that responded to the scene.

State police said updates about the incident will follow as the investigation continues.
