Dale R. Barkley, 71, of Hilliards, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021.

He was born June 14, 1950, in New Castle, and was the son of Ella (Grim) and the late Harold Barkley.

Dale worked at Pullman Standard, until their closing. Later, he worked as a tractor-trailer driver, and finally as a tile setter for Isacco Tile, until his retirement.

He enjoyed working with wood, hunting, fishing and going to camp.

Dale was the beloved husband of Cathy Barkley for 31 years; father of Saleena (John) Wagner; and stepfather of Jeff (Tami), Russ (Claudine) and Charles Cook.

He is also survived by five stepgrandsons; three stepgreat-grandchildren; was the brother of Loretta Wiskeman; and is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his best friend, Bruce Brown.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a sister and a number of aunts and uncles.

BARKLEY — Services for Dale R. Barkley, who died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, will be held privately.
