BUTLER TWP — One person was hospitalized following a three-vehicle crash at approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Evans City and South Eberhart roads.

According to authorities, one patient was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries while others involved in the crash were evaluated at the scene.

According to correspondence with Butler County 911 dispatchers, one person was reported to have chest pain and shortness of breath.

Butler Township and Butler VA firefighters were among those who responded to the scene and assisted with traffic, which was restricted for about 35 minutes.

Butler Township Police also were at the scene investigating.
