New Dunkin’ location under construction

Construction has begun on a new Dunkin’ restaurant on Route 8 next to the Super 8 and near the Greater Butler Mart.

Anthony Braun, CEO and CFO of the Heartland Restaurant Group of Forest Hills, said this will be the company’s third location in Butler, bringing the total in the county up to five stores.

Braun said the restaurant should be ready to open by mid-April, and it will be a “modern” location with newer technology and will feature a gray and white facade instead of the usual orange, pink and brown branding.

“It’s going to have a whole new color palette, more modern technology, a lot of focus on drive-through and on-the-go ordering and a really beautiful interior decor,” Braun said. “It's a little throwback to the original store look with a forward look on the technical aspects.”

Butler Township approved the restaurant’s construction in September, and Braun said the company scheduled its construction around October.

Braun said the location will ideally have about 35 employees, including a general manager and seven shift leaders. It will have a drive-through, and Braun said a focus will be placed on online orders.

“We have great teammates, great management teams and we are really excited,” Braun said.

The other Dunkin’ locations on Main Street in Butler and Butler Crossing have been popular enough that Braun said he is confident adding another local store is worthwhile.

“Both are doing pretty well and we have been so well-received by the city and Butler County,” Braun said. “We have been so welcomed (in the city) and our teams are great local people.”
