Charles Moses Sr.

Charles M. Moses Sr., 80, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021.

Born Jan. 12, 1941, in Lyndora, he was the son of the late Charles S. and Mary (Roskovski) Moses.

Chuck was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1958. He was employed at Armco Steel for 43 years. Chuck was an avid sportsman and was inducted into the Butler Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. He also owned and trained harness racehorses and was a member of the United States Trotting Association. He was the proud owner of Tremor Hanover, 2011 Pacer of the Year at the Meadows Racetrack.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Polanec) Moses; his sons, Chuck Moses Jr. and Rick Moses; his daughters, Debra Moses and Christine (Bryn) Martin; and grandchildren, Mark and Michael Moses, Aaron (Jennifer) Johnston, and Shawn Johnston; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be forever missed.

Moses Sr. — Arrangements for Charles M. Moses Sr., who died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
