School districts close Friday, others move to remote instruction
Butler Area School District, Moniteau School District and Slippery Rock Area School District closed their schools Friday due to inclement weather. Each district is having a traditional snow day.
Karns City Area School District will operate remotely on Friday, as a result of the potential for inclement weather. The schedule for the remote learning day can be accessed online at www.kcasdk12.org. Freeport Area School District is also learning remotely.
Seneca Valley will be in the remote learning model Friday. The district will utilize livestreaming on a two-hour start delay, so that teachers and students can prepare for remote instruction. Students will be expected to log on to the district portal and access the teacher-provided livestreaming link(s) in the announcements section.
South Butler County School District will utilize a flexible instruction day Friday. Students will work remotely from home following a two-hour delay schedule. The two-hour delay schedule for each school is posted on the school’s webpage at www.southbutler.org. Additionally, all after school activities are canceled.
