Marjorie Blum
Marjorie Ann “Margie” Blum, 87, of Butler, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, following an illness, surrounded by her family.
Born in Herman on Oct. 30, 1934, she was a daughter of the late George Francis and Leona Steighner Kuhn.
A talented seamstress, Margie was owner/operator of Nimble Thimble by Margie Blum.
She enjoyed going to East Brady and spending time on her boat in the summer, and then traveling to Ormond-by-the-Sea, Fla., in the winter. An avid bowler, she belonged to various leagues. Margie also volunteered at the Saint Vincent de Paul Food Bank.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by four sons, Barry Blum Sr. and his wife, Karen, of Chicora, Christopher L. Blum and his wife, Sandra, of Butler, Darren P. Blum of Herman, and Joel F. Blum and his wife, Lisa, of Butler; one daughter, Constance A. “Connie” Minor and her husband, Richard, of Butler; one sister, Georgia M. Cherry and her husband, Vic, of Butler; one brother, Robert G. Kuhn and his wife, Andrea, of Butler; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad W. “Sonny” Blum, who passed away July 8, 2011; and an infant brother, Donald Kuhn.
BLUM — Friends of Marjorie Ann “Margie” Blum, who died Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with the Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.
Masks must be worn at the church.
Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
The family requests donations in Margie’s memory to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank, 146 N. Monroe St., Butler, PA 16001.
