Clara Janikowski

Clara Jeane Fox “Snook” Janikowski, 84, of Slippery Rock, passed away at her residence on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.

She was born March 3, 1937, in Pittsburgh, to Robert Raymond Fox and Clara Mary Kerner Fox.

Clara was married to Henry Robert “Hank” Janikowski, former carpenter and township commissioner of Shaler, who preceded her in death in 2009.

Clara was a homemaker, and had worked as a clerk at Kane Regional Hospital until her retirement.

She was the mother of Dolores “Doje” (Roy) Johnston, Roberta “Bert” Fox, Michael Janikowski, Dawna (Ed) D'Amico and Tim (Paula) Janikowski.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Clara was a member of Slippery Rock Senior Center, and had actively been involved with the Slippery Rock American Legion, until the fall of 2021.
