Presidential historian will bring memorabilia to Cranberry library

CRANBERRY TWP – Cranberry Public Library will welcome local presidential historian Stephen Mihaly for “Marketing The Presidency: A Visual Tour of 125 Years of Presidential Artifacts,” at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23.

Mihaly of Gibsonia has been a collector of political memorabilia for over 50 years and holds one of the largest privately held collections of such material in the country. He and his collection have been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers across the country, as well as multiple appearances on TV and radio.

Among the 300 pieces in his collection are a Teddy Roosevelt cast iron doorstop, a glowing Franklin Roosevelt stove pot cover, bars of “Clean Up With Ike” soap and a Richard Nixon shower head in which the water comes streaming from his mouth.

Registration is open at https://cranberry.librarycalendar.com/events/marketing-presidency-visual-tour-125-years-presidential-artifacts.
