SRU football adds
3 assistant coaches
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University’s football program has added three assistant coaches to its staff for the 2022 season.
Drew Moulton is SRU’s new offensive coordinator while Dominique Battle is the defensive backs coach and Zach Bader the defensive line coach. All three begin their roles with the Rock this week.
Moulton has spent the past three seasons as offensive quality control coach for Indiana University of the Big Ten. He previously served one season as wide receivers coach at John Carroll University.
Battle, a former cornerback at the University of Cincinnati and a member of that school’s Hall of Fame, spent the past two years as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator at Benedictine University.
Bader appeared in 37 games as a defensive tasckle at SRU from 2016-19. He was a volunteer defensive assistant coach last season.

shines despite loss
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Zelienople resident and Portersville Christian graduate Elijah White scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in Grove City College’s 90-72 loss to Washington & Jefferson in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference men’s basketball quarterfinals.
W&J (22-4) is the top seed in the tournament.
