State also rejects Russian spirits

A shelf is emptied of Russian Standard Vodka at a Fine Wine & Good Spirits liquor store Monday in Dresher ordered the removal of Russian-made products from state-owned liquor stores. Associated Press

The state Liquor Control Board announced Monday that all Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores and licensee service centers have been instructed to remove Russian-made products from shelves as a show of solidarity and support for the people of Ukraine.

A news release from the PLCB said only two products — Russian Standard and Ustianochka 80-proof vodkas — sold in Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores actually are sourced in Russia.

“As of today, these products will no longer be sold or procured by the PLCB,” the news release stated. “Given the evolving political-economic climate, it’s just the right thing to do.”
