Neal

Richard "Dick" Neal, 89, of Zelienople, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

He was born in Blacklick, Pa., on Sept. 30, 1932, and was raised by his mother and stepfather, Margaret “Peg” and Nick Covish.

Richard was a mechanical draftsman, and served his country honorably with the U.S. Army. He was a proud member of the Honor Guard and also the Zelienople American Legion and Hungarian Club.

Richard loved to golf, hunt and fish. He was loved by his friends and family, and will forever be missed.

Richard was the beloved father of Richard Neal Jr. of New Castle, David Neal of Barrington, Ill., Robin (Vince) Milewski of Butler, Jeff Neal of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Amy Shaffer of North Port, Fla.

He also had seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his birth father, Elmer Neal, Richard was preceded in death by his brothers, Russell and Earl Neal; and his sister, Carol Krut.

NEAL — Services for Richard "Dick" Neal, who died Saturday, March 5, 2022, were held privately by SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
