Snow storm drops 2 inches on county

A winter storm delivered two inches of snow to the county Wednesday, and more precipitation is in the forecast.

The National Weather Service reported that two inches of snow was recorded Wednesday at reporting sites in Butler, Valencia and Saxonburg. Snow began falling around 8 a.m. and continued until the late afternoon.

The temperature Thursday will climb to the mid-40s and reach 50 Friday before the Friday night temperature drops into the low-20s and brings a mix of rain and snow. The snowfall is expected to end Saturday afternoon.
