These items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
March 1 — Kimberly M. Kiser, 45, of Butler, was charged in two cases involving forgeries and thefts.
In the first case, Kiser is charged with multiple counts of felony forgery and misdemeanor unauthorized accessing of a device. Police said Kiser forged her relative’s signature on multiple bank transactions and withdrew money from ATMs without her relative’s consent. According to police, the total loss is estimated at $2,629.
In the second case, Kiser was charged with misdemeanor theft related to bank transactions coinciding with the first case. Police said S&T bank employees claim Kiser finagled bank transactions to steal about $1,113.
Feb. 28 — Lawrence R. Sadowski, 37, of Zelienople, was charged with DUI following a Feb. 25 vehicle crash on the 100 block of Bucktail Drive in Cranberry Township.
Upon arriving, police found a vehicle lodged into an electrical box. Police found Sadowski to have a DUI-suspended driver’s license. Police said field sobriety tests showed Sadowski was impaired, and a blood test was later conducted. The results were not available in court documents.
March 1 — Jesse A. Rak Jr., 39, of Pittsburgh, was charged with felony and misdemeanor making false statements related to an attempted gun sale April 11, 2020, at Curtis Black Powder Shop in Fenelton.
Police said Rak tried to buy a pistol and failed to note his criminal history on the paperwork.
Feb. 28 — Marissa A. Witherup, 28, of Erie, was charged with DUI stemming from a Aug. 29 traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.
Police said they stopped the vehicle for speeding 84 mph in a 70-mph zone. Police said field sobriety tests showed Witherup was impaired, and a later blood test showed marijuana and fentanyl in her system.
Feb. 28 — Gerald A. Scherer, 38, of Chicora, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault related to Feb. 27 domestic incident on the 100 block of Spring Street in Chicora.
Police said a woman accused Scherer of slamming her to the ground multiple times. Police saw multiple bruises on the woman.
Feb. 28 — Zachary R. Wilson, 24, of Saxonburg, was charged with DUI, stemming from a Jan. 8 traffic stop in West Sunbury.
Police stopped the vehicle for crossing lines on the road and failing to use a turn signal. Police said field sobriety tests showed Wilson was impaired, and a later blood test showed marijuana in his system.
