Lewandowski resigns Point Park post

PITTSBURGH — Former Butler High School, and Butler County Community College basketball coach Joe Lewandowski has resigned as head men’s basketball coach at Point Park University.

Lewandowski was 42-59 in four seasons with the Pioneers, including 10-16 this year. He cited spending more time with family as his primary reason for stepping down.

Moniteau’s Rottman homers in victory

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Moniteau graduate Abby Rottman hit a three-run inside-the-park homer for Thiel College in an 11-9 softball victory over Gwynedd Mercy.

Thiel moved to 4-0 on the season.
