Mars Area Primary Center will begin accepting completed kindergarten registration packets for the 2022-23 school year at the school’s Kindergarten Lottery Registration Day, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Mars Area Centennial School.

The selection of morning or afternoon kindergarten sessions is done through a lottery system. Once the maximum class size is reached, the session will be closed and individuals may be placed on a waiting list for their session preference. Morning kindergarten will be open to a maximum of 125 students.

The starting lottery number is 84. Distributed lottery tickets began with No. 1 and a total of 175 tickets were handed out to parents/guardians who attended the school’s packet distribution in February. No additional lottery tickets will be distributed.

Lottery tickets matching the student’s name must be presented at the Lottery Registration Day event. The district will only accept completed kindergarten registration packets before registering a student for the preferred session.
