3 more polling sites move
Voters at three more precincts will cast their ballots at new locations in the upcoming primary elections.
Butler County commissioners on Wednesday approved moving the polling locations of three precincts in Summit Township and Butler City due to a combination of voter feedback and a lack of interest from current sites.
The voting sites moving will be Summit Township North, Butler City 2 and Butler City 4-1. Commissioners approved these three moves after in early February approving the moves of polling locations in Center Township, Eau Claire and Evans City.
The Summit Township North precinct will move from the Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Department to the Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church, 590 Protzman Road, in a move that will affect 1,114 registered voters.
The Butler City Ward 2 change moves voters from the Terrace Apartments to the Butler Area Public Library, 218 N. McKean St. As of Tuesday, 875 registered voters will be affected.
Voters at the Butler City Ward 4-1 precinct will now vote at the First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., rather than the previous location at the First United Methodist Church. Price said 739 voters are registered at the precinct.
