Commissioners to host election information session
A group alleging improprieties in Butler County’s administration of elections will have an audience with county commissioners in early April.
Commissioners Chairwoman Leslie Osche said Wednesday that the commissioners will convene a public meeting the evening of April 6 to discuss elections.
Osche invited members of the “Audit the Vote” group — who have attended commissioners meetings since mid-2021 and demanded a “forensic investigation” of the 2020 election — and others to submit questions to the commissioners ahead of the meeting.
“We would like them to be submitted to the solicitor by the 25th of March,” Osche said. “You have a week and a half to come up with questions and then we’ll have a week and a half to make sure we have all of the details and data that we need to have.”
The meeting, which will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 6 — the same day on which commissioners will conduct their biweekly 10 a.m. board meeting — will focus on the questions asked of commissioners.
