Bake sale raises over $13,000 for Ukrainian relief
A bake sale Saturday at Cabot United Methodist Church raised $13,300 to benefit the people in Ukraine. An additional $1,355 was raised to go toward the rescue of pets abandoned during the Russian invasion of the country.
Baxter said the money will go to ShelterBox, an international recovery organization that will use the funds to provide refugees with food, water, blankets, clothing and medical supplies.
