Nel A. Wieland, 94, of Grove City, passed peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2022, following a brief illness.

Nel was born in Latonia, Ky., on March 16, 1928, the daughter of Cecil and Ann Hazel (Clark) Creighton. She married Wil F. Wieland on March 24, 1961; he preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2004.

She was raised in the Protestant faith, and Nell was a 1946 graduate of Highland High School, Fort Thomas, Ky.

Nel retired after 35 years of services as supervisor of employment and benefits at General Electric Corp. Throughout her career she worked at six of GE’s major locations, including corporate headquarters, when located in NYC.

Nel is survived by a daughter, Sue Scheibly, of Houston; many nieces and nephews; and a host of wonderful friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Terry Scheibly; and a sister, Rosemary Moore.

WIELAND — Private services will be held for Nel A. Wieland, who died Friday, April 1, 2022, with burial following at Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Ky.
