Car crashes into church during Easter sale
BUTLER TWP — A line of people were waiting outside St. Michael Greek Catholic Church around 1 p.m. Friday to enter an Easter sale when a red Subaru rolled down the hill on Woodrow Street and slammed into the church wall, coming to a rest atop the wall.
Butler Township police said the driver, an elderly woman, was parked on Woodrow Street and shifted her car into the wrong gear, causing her to lose control, sideswipe a parked vehicle and slam into the Lyndora church. She was uninjured in the crash, according to police.
