Emilo Russo

Emilio A. Russo of Butler celebrated his 99th birthday with an open house.

He was born April 7, 1923, in Butler. He married Ann Cygan on May 5, 1946. She is deceased.

He has three children, Sandi (Richard) Massey of Butler, Carol (Mark) Johnson of Butler, and the late Richard Russo.

He also has four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Russo retired from Armco Steel.

He was a veteran of World War II taking part in the Battle of Normandy as a member of the U.S. Army Battery C, 204th AAA Battalion.

He is a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Lyndora.
