These items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Butler

April 5 — Two men were charged with misdemeanor counts of drug and paraphernalia possession related to a March 30 incident behind Pullman Park.

Police said when they arrived they found Douglas C. Fudoli, 53, of Butler, and Sean P. Pell, 42, who is homeless, in the process of using heroin. Police said both men admitted to using the drug and possessing the paraphernalia.

9:43 p.m. April 4 — Two men were arrested and charged with one count each of misdemeanor trespassing related to a report at Pepper’s Flower Shop, 112 W. Cunningham St., Butler.

Police said Douglas C. Fudoli, 53, of Butler, and Sean P. Pell, 42, who is homeless, admitted to entering the shop the night before through an unlocked door. Police said the two had slept inside the shop and have a history of arrests, and Pell was found with used drug paraphernalia for which he additionally was charged.

Butler County Drug Task Force

April 1 — Damian A. Smith, 37, of Butler, was charged with felony possession of contraband following his detention by probation March 29.

Detectives said before leaving for Butler County Prison, they asked Smith if he had any illegal items in his possession, which he denied. Detectives said at the prison, guards conducted an unclothed search, and Smith had stamp bags of heroin sticking out of his rear end, which he then promptly placed in his mouth. Detectives said Smith then resisted the removal of the drugs from his mouth, but later spat them out.

Butler Twp

4:03 p.m. April 1 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on New Castle Road.

Police said James Patterson, 60, of Butler, was cited for crossing lines on the road, after he crashed into a vehicle driven by Cheryl Warner, 31, of Vandergrift. Police said two of Warner’s three passengers reported injuries, one of whom was taken by ambulance to a hospital for further evaluation.

March 30 — Cheyene L. Goodin, 24, was charged in two cases.

On March 29, police were called to Dollar General, 379 Pittsburgh Road, Butler Township, for an investigation into a retail theft. After investigation, police claim Goodin took sunglasses and Chapstick, valued at $18, without paying. She is charged with felony retail theft.

Police said during their investigation, Goodin claimed she had been using her former boyfriend’s vehicle. The vehicle was reported stolen by Goodin’s ex-boyfriend, and she was charged separately with felony possession of stolen property.

State Police, Butler

April 3 — Chad W. Scott, 49, of Mars, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI, disorderly conduct and drug and paraphernalia possession related to an April 2 report of an intoxicated person on the 300 block of North Road, Franklin Township.

Police said they found Scott asleep in his vehicle. Police said one field sobriety tests showed Scott was impaired, and he was unable to complete others. Police said Scott later refused to have his blood tested.

March 31 — Chester J. Zinni, 43, of Slippery Rock, was charged with DUI stemming from a March 7 traffic stop on Highland Avenue at Franklin Road, Slippery Rock.

Police stopped the vehicle because Zinni, the vehicle’s owner, had an active arrest warrant out of Ohio. Police said when then arrested Zinni they suspected he was under the influence. Police said a later blood tests showed Zinni’s blood-alcohol content was .152%, and in Pennsylvania, a level of .08% or greater is considered intoxicated.
