No evidence found in review of SRU financial complaint
A review of a complaint regarding a financial matter at Slippery Rock University found no evidence to support the claim, according to Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) director of media relations Kevin Hensil.
Hensil said Thursday that the system engaged an outside firm to analyze the complaint, and the state system considers the matter closed after no supporting evidence was found. He declined to provide additional details.
PASSHE oversees 14 universities across the state, including SRU. Hensil said each PASSHE school undergoes an annual audit wherein auditors aim to “obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free from material misstatement.”
