Megan McMichael

McMichael

Our sweet beloved Megan Elizabeth McMichael, 53, went to be with our Lord in heaven on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital. Megan's struggles are over and she is at peace. We know she is welcomed to heaven with many familiar people.

Megan was so much fun. She was the fourth child of the late Robert E. McMichael Jr. and the late Marie A. Palamara Reynolds. She was loved by everyone.

Megan had many passions. She loved Snoopy, monkeys, candy, bingo, the carnival, and rock and roll, but she loved her family the most. There was nothing this sweet woman would not do for her family. Meg took in many of her children’s friends as her own. So many called her mom.

We have so many fun memories with Megan. Between our camping, Black Friday shopping, dancing, Taco Tuesdays and just family get-togethers, if Megan was there we were sure to have fun. She loved the summer hayrides up north, family picnics and her “up north” friends.

Our Megan has left a legacy of love and laughter. She is already missed more than words can say. We know she is in a place of peace and love. She loved our Lord and went to heaven peacefully.

Megan is survived by her spouse of many years, John Slick Sr.; her children, Brandon, Shane (Brittney), Maria, Dominic, Savannah and John Jr. (Amy); her grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jacob, Ellieanna, Devin, Delilah, Johnny III and James; and her siblings, Terry, Bobby (Leslie), Lisa (Eric), and Robin.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Jane Palamara and Robert and Emma McMichael; her father, Robert McMichael Jr.; her mother, Marie Palamara Reynold; her step-father, David Reynolds; her aunt, Charlotte Kress; and her nephew, Robert John McMichael. We know they were waiting to welcome her to heaven.

Megan you are the key holder — please watch over us all!
