Police: Traffic stop yields 8+ bricks and other drugs

An active arrest warrant led city police to a stash of nearly 450 stamp bags of suspected heroin or fentanyl and more than two ounces of suspected crack cocaine.

Police arrested David C. Bemben, 40, on Thursday night. He was arraigned Friday morning by District Judge Sue Haggerty on two felony counts of drug sales, two misdemeanor counts of drug possession and one misdemeanor count of drug paraphernalia possession.

Bemben was sent to Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond. Court records show Bemben has been unable to post bond, and it is unclear if he has other bond conditions attached to his arrest warrant.
