Home burns on Robinhood Drive in Cranberry Twp.

Fire crews responded to a fire at a home in Cranberry Township on Robinhood Drive.

CRANBERRY TWP — Fire crews responded to a fire at a home on Robinhood Drive Thursday afternoon. The road is currently closed to traffic.

Lt. William Ahlgren with Cranberry Township police said the fire was called in shortly before 2 p.m.

“They are knocking it down, they’re still cleaning it up and making sure all the hot spots are taken care of,” he said at approximately 2:30 p.m. “That’s about all I know at this point in time.”

Ahlgren said it is not yet clear whether anyone was inside the home.

“It doesn’t appear to be, but we know somebody did reside at the residence,” he said.

A damage estimate was not yet available.

Cranberry EMS, Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company, Callery VFD, Evans City Volunteer Fire Department, Adams Area Fire District, Wexford Volunteer Fire Company, Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department, Harmony Fire District, Big Knob VFD, Economy Fire Department, and Pine Run Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the scene.
