Construction, updates ongoing at Adams Twp. park
ADAMS TWP — Park director Haley Zaliponi discussed ongoing construction projects at the Adams Township Community Park at a meeting Monday night.
While no events are planned at the park until August, the park will be busy with construction and updates this month, Zaliponi said.
“Now, we’re just focused on all of the stuff taking place in the park,” she said. “The new waterline started this week, so that is taking place and being brought in on Three Degree Road right at the entrance of the park.”
The waterline project should be finished by the end of the month, she said. The waterline will bring water to the park’s new pavilions near the war memorial and the upcoming splash pad project.
“We have new baseball lights going in on the Rotary field,” Zaliponi added. “We are working on a new updated power master plan with Penn Power.”
The pickleball field project will see progress this week as well, she said.
“We are going to be laying surfacing down this week,” she said. “Fencing will go in next week, so that will hopefully be done at the end of this month as well.”
The township also will hold a war memorial service May 22 at 2 p.m., she said.
“We pretty much give the park to the veterans to honor their families,” she said. “It’s a really nice service, if anyone is interested.”
