Citations added to Marion crash

One person was transported by helicopter and two were transported by ambulance as a result of a vehicle accident Friday on Route 308 at the border of Marion and Cherry townships. Molly Miller/Butler Eagle

A head-on crash that occurred around 2 p.m. Friday at the border of Marion and Cherry townships resulted in a traffic citation.

According to a news release from state police, Nikkia Lindstrom, 33, of Seneca, was cited for crossing the center line while traveling southbound on Route 308.

Lindstrom’s vehicle struck the vehicle driven by Brittany Lynn, 33, of Vandergrift. Lynn and passenger Shannon Lutz, 43, were transported for unknown injuries to Grove City Medical Center by Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue team.

Lindstrom was transported by air to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh around 3 p.m. for unknown injuries.

There was heavy damage to the front ends of both passenger-sized vehicles.

Route 308 was reopened more than an hour after the accident occurred.

West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Department, Marion Township Volunteer Fire Company, Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company ambulance team and state police all responded to the scene.
