A woman’s body was found in a ditch alongside Sharon Bedford Road, Mercer County, on Tuesday evening.

Troopers from the Mercer barracks responded at about 5:45 p.m.

The unidentified woman was described by state police to be approximately 20 to 30 years old with a medium build and shoulder-length hair. She was wearing a multicolored tie-dyed hooded sweatshirt and had a tattoo on her pelvic area.

Troop D Major Case Team is investigating.
