Body found in Mercer County

A body was found alongside Sharon Bedford Road on Tuesday evening in Mercer County.

According to state police, the body of a was discovered in a ditch along the roadway.

Troopers from the Mercer barracks responded at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The unidentified woman was described by state police to be approximately 20 to 30 years old, medium built, with shoulder-length hair. She was wearing a multicolored tie-dyed hooded sweatshirt and had a tattoo on her pelvic area.

Troop D Major Case Team is investigating.
