Summer camps bring the fun across the county

Camp Alameda

Camp Alameda from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with early drop-off beginning at 7 a.m. and late pickup offered until 5:15 p.m.

Camp sessions are one week each, and campers are divided up into age-appropriate activities throughout the day. All campers must be at least 5 years old by June 1 and potty trained. The cost is $130 per child per week, and $105 for each additional sibling registered for the same week. Eleven-week discount is $1,030 total.

Camp weeks:

All Star Sports from June 6 to June 10.

Movie week is June 13 to June 17.

Super Heroes & Villains week is from June 21 to June 24, closed June 20.

Around the World week is from June 27 to July 1.

Great Outdoors week is from July 5 to July 8, closed July 4.

Get Soaked week is from July 11 to July 15.

Messy Madness week is from July 18 to July 22.

Summer Olympians week is from July 25 to July 29.

S.T.E.M. week is from Aug. 1 to Aug. 5.

Best of Alameda week is from Aug. 8 to Aug. 12.

Carnival week is from Aug. 15 to Aug. 19.

Kids on Campus

Camps for children in kindergarten through eighth grade run Monday through Thursday at Butler County Community College on the following weeks: June 13 to 16, June 20 to 23, June 27 to June 30, July 11 to 14, July 18 to 21 and July 25 to 28. Morning care is offered starting at 7:30 to 9 a.m. and afternoon care is offered from 4 to 5 p.m. Morning care is $30 per week and afternoon care is $20 per week. Mountain Bike Camps and Clinics

A series of three clinics will teach skills that will help mountain bikers overcome obstacles in a fun, safe, enthusiastic and challenging environment. Session one is scheduled for June 14 to 16, session two is scheduled for June 28 to 39 and a day clinic is set for May 14, June 11 and June 22. Clinics take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Jaycee Shelter at Alameda Park. The clinic is for children ages 10 to 17, and cost $75 per session, and the one-day bike clinics are $25 per person.

Soccer Clinic

Butler County Parks and Recreation is offering four separate soccer clinic sessions for beginners at the Alameda Multi-Use Field. Sessions for children ages 8 to 10 will take place from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. and sessions for 11 to 13 will take place from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. May 16, June 27, Sept. 19 and Oct. 3. The cost is $15 per class or $50 for all four classes.

Jennings Environmental Education Center

DiscoverE: Hide-N-Seekers- Fantastic Forests — DiscoverE is a hands-on day camp experience that allows children ages 4 and 5 to explore nature while building confidence, curiosity of the natural world and social skills. There will be four sessions on Tuesdays from June 14 to July 5. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 to 2:30 p.m.There is a fee of $2 per child per program.
