U.S. Army Reserve servicemen and women placed flags on the graves of veterans at the Butler County Memorial Park and Mausoleum Wednesday afternoon.

According to Paul Simms, cemetery manager, a team from the reserve places the flags every year.

“There’s a technique that occurs with them placing it at the head of the grave,” he said. “We leave them up until around Labor Day.”
