FUNraiser set for Quality EMS

“We are celebrating the one-year anniversary of our Mars location, and we wanted to do something to positively impact the community,” said Michele Jurysta, marketing manager at Armco Credit Union. “I knew that Quality EMS had a lot of challenges in front of them, so we decided to partner with them.”
Money raised will go to buy an ambulance

A “FUNraiser” event to gather donations for Quality EMS is planned from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Armco Credit Union’s Mars branch, at the intersection of Route 228 and Myoma Road.

Funds will specifically go toward the purchase of a new ambulance, Quality EMS executive director Conrad Pfeifer said.

“Ours have about 200,000 miles on them,” Pfeifer said. “It will replace an old ambulance.”

Kids’ entertainment, a magic show, balloon animals, food trucks and a basket raffle will be featured at the event. Participants will be able to compete for a chance to win up to $1,000 through a musical chairs competition.

Michele Jurysta, marketing manager at Armco Credit Union, said proceeds from a number of activities at the celebration will benefit the EMS service.
