Pair of men chased, caught and accused of burglary
Two Pittsburgh men accused of burglary were caught Tuesday after being chased by their alleged victim and police.
Police said they arrested Aaron M. Grant, 38, and Gregory H. Taylor, 37, after they crashed the vehicle they allegedly used in the burglary of a Cranberry Township home.
Grant and Taylor were arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Kevin Flaherty on felony charges of burglary, conspiracy, illegal gun possession, unlicensed carrying of a gun, criminal trespass, theft and possessing stolen property.
They also have been charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, drug possession and drug paraphernalia possession. Taylor additionally was charged with misdemeanor leaving the scene of a crash.
According to charging documents, shortly after 3 p.m. a Cranberry Township resident saw two men in his home through his security system. Police said the homeowner told a friend, who arrived at the scene and saw Grant and Taylor fleeing in a maroon Lexus sedan “with its flashers on at a high rate of speed.”
