Orsborn chosen 40th annual Vogeley winner
A Butler High School senior Daniel R. Orsborn was selected as the recipient of the 40th annual Theodore K. Vogeley Scholarship.
He was chosen from 34 applicants, 22 of whom were interviewed. The scholarship will cover full tuition, fixed fees, room and board, and books.
Daniel is the son of Jeffrey and Elizabeth Orsborn. He will attend Grove City College to major in finance.
The number of Vogeley recipients varies each year due to interest earned on the trust and the costs of the students' colleges or universities. A committee is responsible for selecting the recipients.
Due to the availability of remaining funds, four other students will receive a four-year fixed-amount scholarship.
The recipients of the four-year fixed-amount scholarships are:
Jonathon Livermore, $10,000 annually to a maximum of $40,000;
John Beneigh, $ 5,000 annually to a maximum of $20,000;
Jared Chantz, $ 5,000 annually to a maximum of $20,000;
Sydney Spack, $ 5,000 annually to a maximum of $20,000.
