Neighbors and visitors gathered for a fun evening at the first day of the Seven Fields Community Days Carnival on Thursday.

The festival, which runs through Saturday, brings rides, food and live music to the Seven Fields Town Park.

Families and young kids explored the carnival rides, inflatable bounce house and souvenir stands in the cool evening air.

Linda Polakovsky of C&L Shows said that the turnout Thursday looked promising.

“Actually, it seems busier than the last time we were here,” she said.

Tickets at the event are $20 for a ride-all-day pass or $3 per ride. The event begins at 6 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday and is located at Seven Fields Town Park at 380 Castle Creek Drive. The carnival will conclude with a fireworks show Saturday.
