Pittsburgh food bank receives infant formula donation
Baby2Baby, a nonprofit organization, delivered a donation of more than 2,500 cans of infant formula to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank on Thursday.
The food bank received 2,592 cans of Enfamil Gentlease infant formula for children up to 1 year old.
“No one should ever have to worry that they won’t be able to feed their baby. Recently, limited availability and rising prices across the board have made it more challenging than ever for the families we serve to have enough formula for their babies,” said Food Bank Director of Partner Network Programs Charlese McKinney.
The donation will be available to Food Bank pantries and partners to distribute across Southwestern Pennsylvania, including Butler County, where the food bank provides food to 14,505 households.
