Man injured in motorcycle accident
A man driving a motorcycle was flown in a medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital following a crash in Jefferson Township on Monday night.
The one-vehicle accident took place shortly after 9 p.m. in the area of 430 Riemer Road, state police said. The operator was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
The road was closed in both directions for about an hour while police and the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company cleared the scene. The Saxonburg VFC Ambulance also responded to the accident.
