Margaret Carole Scott, 77, of Butler, formerly of Chicora, died unexpectedly Monday, June 13, 2022, in the emergency room of Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 21, 1945, in St. Helens, Merseyside, England, in the historic county of Lancashire, and was the daughter of the late Paul Glenn Price and the late Margaret Hackett Price.

Margaret was a 1962 graduate of Karns City High School.

She married Ronnie L. Scott.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie L. Scott; a daughter, Diane M. Clark of Butler; two sons, Jimmy Mershimer of Butler, and Dewayne (Sue) Mershimer of West Sunbury; four grandchildren, Mariah Clark, Sydnie Mershimer, Karlie Curran and Justin Mershimer; five sisters, Sandra Price of Connecticut, Pauline (Albert) Kelly of Butler, Barbara Hile of Chicora, Mary Harnish of Chicora, and Colleen Sherer of Chicora; and a brother, Christopher (Mary) Price of Chicora.

Margaret was preceded in death by a son, Michael Mershimer; a grandson, Colin Clark; two brothers, Michael Price and Ed Price; and a sister, Patricia Huff.

She touched the hearts of so many with her unconditional love, generosity and kindness.

She will be forever missed by all.

SCOTT — Visitation for Margaret Carole Scott, who died Monday, June 13, 2022, will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday with blessing services following at 8 p.m. at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora, and will be officiated by Father Jim Kurtz.
