12:14 a.m. June 11 — Timothy W. Gaston Jr., 31, of Mars, was arrested and charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor simple assault after police said he assaulted his wife as they fought over their child. The incident started outside while the child was in a car carrier and continued in their home, the report said.
June 10 — Joseph J. King, 38, of Mars, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault after police said he held down his wife and pushed his forehead into hers with force enough to cause injury at their home.
3:54 p.m. June 12 — Police said Patrick Cousins, 73, of Middleport, N.Y., made a left turn onto Route 422 and hit a vehicle driven by Mark Rodgers, 35, of Chicora. Police said no one was injured.
1:59 p.m. June 10 — Police said Alice Horstman, 71, of Herman, drover her vehicle into the rear of one driven by Steven Adam, 42, of Butler. Police said no one was injured, and Horstman was cited for an expired inspection.
June 9 — Melissa N. Orstead, 33, of Lyndora, was charged with felony retail theft and misdemeanor possessing stolen property after police said she stole about $300 worth of items, including Pokemon cards, steaks and diapers.
4:21 p.m. June 6 — Police said Skylee Fry, 22, of Lyndora, drove her vehicle into the rear of one driven by Constance Criley, 48, of Florida. The impact sent Criley’s vehicle into a third driven by Matthew Watterson, 27, of Lyndora. Police said no one was injured in the crash, but Fry was cited for speeding and an expired inspection.
June 9 — Alyse Evans, 29, of Moon Township, was charged with misdemeanor driving while under the influence after police said they stopped her May 14 on Route 228. Police said field sobriety tests showed Evans was impaired, and a later blood test showed her blood-alcohol content at .194%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%.
June 9 — Devin J. Collins, 31, of Chicora, was charged with felony counts of insurance fraud and attempted theft, after investigators said he tried to file a false claim in the amount of $2,156.
June 11 — Christina N. Faller, 42, of West Sunbury, was charged with felony theft and misdemeanor unauthorized use of a vehicle after police said she took the vehicle of her girlfriend’s father without permission.
June 10 — Chad W. Finucan, 38, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI, drug possession and possessing drug paraphernalia after police said they stopped him May 15 on Route 422, Butler Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Finucan was impaired, and during the tests troopers observed fresh injection sites. Police said after arresting Finucan, they found suspected heroin and associated paraphernalia in his pocket.
June 10 — Richard E. Humes, 33, of Harrisville, was charged with felony DUI and misdemeanor counts of drug possession, leaving the scene of a crash and unlicensed driving after police said they investigated a reckless driver in Mercer Township. Police said they found Humes along the road, changing the tire of the described vehicle. Police said they noticed empty and full bags of suspect heroin on the ground between Humes’ legs. Police said Humes refused both field sobriety tests and blood tests.
