David L. Barnes, 72, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

He was born in Butler, on Dec. 14, 1949, and was the son of Bertha (Pflugh) Barnes and the late Clarence Barnes.

David honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, and was also a member of the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora.

David loved to hunt and fish. He was loved and will be forever missed.

David was the father of Michael Barnes; brother of Sallie Ballon; and grandfather of Kennedy.

BARNES — Family and friends of David L. Barnes, who died Thursday, June 23, 2022, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
