Second suspect in Muddy Creek Twp. homicide identified
UPDATED: State police filed charges and an arrest warrant late Tuesday which identifies the second suspect in an alleged homicide in Muddy Creek Township earlier this month.
The documents against Daniel C. Lloyd, 19, of Pitcairn, include two felony counts of homicide, related to the death of Frederick Orr, 32, of Columbus.
Lloyd’s case is listed as inactive which means he has yet to be arrested, but in instances where felony charges are filed, an automatic warrant for the person’s arrest is issued.
Orr’s body was found around 3:30 a.m. June 11 along Kelly Road, which spans a little less than 2 miles between East Portersville and Yellow Creek roads.
The charging documents filed against Lloyd are nearly identical those filed against Nicole L. Schwartz, 36, of Ellwood City, who was charged with the same two counts.
According to charging documents against Schwartz, she claims her current boyfriend “K” hid in the cargo area of her SUV while she picked up Orr, her ex-boyfriend, from Butler County Prison.
Police said in interviews, Schwartz claimed “K” was the one who shot and killed Orr.
The only difference between the two affidavits is in those filed against Lloyd, he is identified as “K.”
This is a breaking news.
