Milling and paving on Route 356 will begin Monday between the intersections of Sarver and Rennick roads in Butler County for a paving project in Buffalo, Winfield and Jefferson townships.

The state Department of Transportation announced on Friday that single alternating lanes in the area will be controlled by flaggers. PennDOT said motorists should anticipate delays and seek alternative routes.

A. Folino Construction of Oakmont, Allegheny County, is the contractor for the project, which is part of an $880,000 paving contract in the county..

The milling and paving is expected to be complete by the end of July, weather permitting.
