Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
July 3 — Carol Oesterling, 65, of Butler, experienced a vehicle fire while driving on North Main Street Extension. Oesterling pulled the car into a business for the fire to be extinguished and was uninjured.
June 6 — Eren R. Ulke, 19, of Mars, was charged with felony retail theft after police said he stole various electronic devices from Best Buy as an employee. Police said the total items amounted to more than $2,160, and Ulke admitted to taking the items and selling them online.
July 6 — Phillip R. McJunkins, 53, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary charges of disorderly conduct and harassment after police said he slapped his girlfriend during a dispute, causing her to fall and cut her ankle and lip.
July 5 — David E. Deal, 42, of Slippery Rock, was charged with two misdemeanors for driving under the influence after police said they stopped him June 4 at Sheetz, 107 Franklin St., Slippery Rock borough. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed Deal’s blood-alcohol content to be .109%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%.
July 5 — Alan D. Jornigan, 27, of Kittanning, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor for a false written statement while purchasing a firearm after police said he attempted to purchase a firearm at Sportsman Supply on April 9 in Summit Township. Police said Jornigan answered a question falsely regarding his criminal history.
July 5 — Charles W. Miller, 31, of Butler, was charged with felony fleeing to avoid punishment and misdemeanors DUI and possessing drug paraphernalia after police said they stopped him July 3 on Petrolia Road, Fairview Township. Police said Miller began to flee from the officer on foot knowing he had active arrest warrants. Following a vehicle search, police found seven hypodermic needles. Police said field sobriety tests showed Miller was impaired.
July 5 — Adam T. Stobert, 20, of Sarver, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs after police said they responded to a vehicle accident July 3 at Winfield Road and Route 356, Winfield Township. Police said a breath test showed Stobert’s blood-alcohol content level at .230%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%.
July 2 — Kenneth E. Allen, 57, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and a summary charge of dangerous burning after police said on June 27 he set two unattended fires near a residence’s garage and then fled into the woods.
June 29 — April R. Johnston, 25, of Butler, was charged with four misdemeanor DUIs and use and possession of marijuana after police said they stopped her May 28 on Pittsburgh Road, Penn Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of marijuana in her system.
June 29 — Rashodd J. Simmons, 43, of Warner Robins, Ga., was charged with unauthorized use of motor vehicles after police said he failed to return a Mack truck to his employer and drove it for personal use for 198 miles.
