A new manager has been hired to oversee the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport.

Airport officials announced Monday that Michael Biggs will take his seat next month in the airport’s main office on Airport Road in Penn Township.

His most recent position in his long aviation career was as the contracting officer’s technical representative and project manager at Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority in Washington, D.C.

Biggs replaces longtime airport manager Ike Kelly, who oversaw many and varied airport improvements in his tenure.
