Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
July 18 — Wayne V. Edwards, 24, of Butler, was charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor simple assault after police said he punched someone in the face several times and kicked them repeatedly.
July 19 — Mark R. Trout, 52, of Hunker, was charged with a misdemeanor after police said he wrote a check in the amount of $1,071 to withdraw from a blocked account.
July 19 — Dakota J. Hinchberger, 30, of Portersville, was charged with a misdemeanor for possessing drugs and a summary charge of public drunkenness after police said he was found lying under a guardrail July 18 on West Jefferson Street. Police said Hinchberger had two bundles of suspected heroin on his person.
July 18 — Cindy L. Anderson, 42, of Butler, was charged with four misdemeanors for possessing drug paraphernalia after police said they found cocaine, heroin, Fentanyl, syringes and a marijuana pipe in her residence in Clay Township.
July 18 — Deryk L. Cook, 33, of Slippery Rock, was charged with a felony for firing a gun in an occupied structure and misdemeanor for reckless endangerment after police said he fired a gun twice into a mattress in his home in Slippery Rock.
July 19 — Jouline L. Walker, 32, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanors for possessing drugs after police said they stopped her Feb. 23 at the intersection Mercer Street and American Avenue, Butler. Police said Walker was a passenger in the vehicle, and upon a search she had heroin, Mirtazapine and Gabapentin in her possession.
July 19 — Randolph D. Dahl, 43, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanors for possessing drugs after police said they stopped him June 12 on East Jefferson Street, Butler. Police said unknown crushed pills, four syringes, a black plastic spoon and bundles of glassine bags were found during a vehicle search.
July 19 — Michael A. Leon, 52, of Fenelton, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and a summary charge of harassment after police said he hit his girlfriend, then bit her left cheek and left arm during an altercation in Clearfield Township.
July 19 — Shane W. Young, 49, of Slippery Rock was charged with three counts each of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after troopers allegedly found 180 glassine bags, 10 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana and several empty syringes in the back seat of a car where Young was sitting.
July 20 — Adam L. Brown, 55, of Butler, was charged with a misdemeanor for driving under the influence and several traffic citations after police said they stopped him July 3 on Washington Street, Butler. Police said field sobriety tests showed signs of impairment.
July 20 — Kristina R. Williams, 38, of Butler, was charged with possessing drug paraphernalia after police said they stopped her April 27 on South Chestnut Street, Butler. Police said multiple crack pipes and pill bottles were found in Williams’ vehicle following a search.
July 20 — Charles A. Hogg, 22, of Slippery Rock, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said they stopped him July 16 on Route 8, Center Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Hogg’s blood-alcohol content at 0.176%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
July 21 — Mary M. McCollum, 22, of Butler, was charged with possession of marijuana after police said they stopped her July 3 on South Monroe Street, Butler. Police said McCollum produced a small amount of marijuana when questioned.
July 5 — Lawrence P. Durnell, 66, of Portersville, was transported from a vehicle accident after police said he veered off Mountville Road, Lawrence County, to avoid a deer. Police said the vehicle crashed into a tree, and Durnell was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
