Paula G. Smith, 77, of North Washington passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, at Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville following an illness.

Born in Butler on July 16, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Walter Paul and June Ann Tack Bruce.

A 1963 graduate of Butler High School, she was long affiliated with the First United Methodist Church of Butler.

Paula served as clerk and manager of the former B&B Market in Butler, worked in the Butler School System cafeteria, and earlier was employed by the former Troutman Department Store.

Along with husband Frank, they were longtime and active members of Butler Area Street Machine Association, which she served as activities director for many terms.

A favorite pastime was family camping, as well as knitting-crocheting and making jewelry.

Surviving are her husband, Frank; a son and his wife, Ken and Karen Smith of Chicora; and three grandchildren, Paul (Lauren), Kurt (Maddie) and Kayla Smith; and one brother, David Carl Bruce of Wayne, Pa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Douglas Bruce.

SMITH — A memorial service for Paula G. Smith, who died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.

Interment will follow at a later date at Mt. Varnum Cemetery, Washington Township, Butler County.
