SR declares state of emergency due to effects of Friday storm
Slippery Rock borough council president Jeff Campbell declared a state of emergency due to the effects of a storm Friday night.
Borough manager Shawn Pugh said council is urging people to stay indoors until morning so the state of roads can be assessed.
“We’ve been out for last few hours helping people closing roads,” he said. “There are roads washed away, two people had to be rescued from their cars, a sink hole has developed.”
Pugh added that updates can be found via Mayor Jondavid Longo’s Facebook and Twitter pages and the borough website, slipperyrockboroughpa.gov.
