With summer coming to a close and students soon returning to school, the Pennsylvania Game Commission has a limited number of free in-person hunter education courses available. No other courses are scheduled for 2022 in the county.

Course dates, times and locations are:

Aug. 16 and 17 (attend both nights), 6 to 9:30 p.m., Butler Township recreation building, Butler Township Park

Sept. 10, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mars Rod & Gun Club, 205 Gun Club Lane, Mars

Sept. 24, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Butler City Hunting & Fishing Club, 200 Grant Ave, East Butler

Sept. 24, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Moniteau High School cafeteria, 1810 West Sunbury Road, West Sunbury
